Chair in Family Medicine

Chair in Family Medicine, University of Ottawa and Institut du Savoir Montfort

The new Chair in Family Medicine is the first of its kind in French, in Ontario. The goal is both simple and ambitious: improve primary health care for all Canadians while focusing on minority Francophone communities.

”The Chair in Family Medicine’s research activities will aim to provide rigorous knowledge aimed at improving the health and quality of life of our patients, their families and our communities,” explains Dr. Bjerre, Chair in Family Medicine, University of Ottawa and Institut du Savoir Montfort. “This goal is well-aligned to my research program on access to health care and the appropriate use of medications at the population level, which I will continue to actively pursue.”
