endif;?>The Research Chair in Mental Health benefits from a grant of $50,000 per year for five years. Its research program aims to better understand the psychological and behavioral disturbances in individuals affected by anxiety and depression.
The research team focuses on the etiology and treatment of anxiety and depression. All primary and secondary care combined, anxiety and depressive disorders are among the most common mental illnesses. They are associated with a state of suffering and are a heavy burden on society. The Research Chair in Mental Health focuses on the effectiveness of body-mind and psychosocial interventions, while assessing the mechanisms that contribute to therapeutic change.
Since the creation of the Chair in 2012, the research team has received, without interruption, research grants from numerous organizations. The Chair has also been able to complete clinical trials at the ISM, while publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
