Djilali Hanzal

Biography

Dr Djilali Hanzal obtained his MD from the University of Algiers, Algeria, in 1989. He then completed his training as a cardiologist in 1994 at the University of Bordeaux, France.

In 2003, after years of practice in cardiology, Dr. Hanzal began a two-year fellowship at the Montreal Heart Institute, where he perfected his skills in cardiac echocardiography (transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, etc.) and heart failure.

He practices in Fredericton, New Brunswick, in the Department of Cardiology at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, where he also holds teaching appointments with Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, and Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador.
