Gilles Comeau

Biography

Gilles Corneau is a member of the Royal Society of Canada, Senior Researcher at the Royal Institute of Mental Health Research, Founding Director of the Institute for Research in Music and Health at the University of Ottawa, Director and Principal Investigator of the Piano Pedagogy Research Laboratory and Professor at the University of Ottawa School of Music. He conducts multidisciplinary research on music and health, music and the well-being of people with dementia or mental illness, musicians’ health, and musical learning (motivation, music reading). The results of his research have been published in various academic journals as well as in popular media (television and magazines).
