Jonathan Gravel

Biography

Dr Jonathan Gravel is an academic community emergency physician at l’Hôpital Montfort in Ottawa and locums regularly across Northern Canada. He is an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa and is also one of the base hospital physicians for the Regional Paramedic Program for Eastern Ontario (RPPEO).

He completed his medical school in Ottawa followed by residency training at the University of Toronto and McMaster University in Hamilton. In addition to this, he holds a master’s degree in epidemiology and community medicine.

His academic interests include prehospital and event medicine, the promotion of evidence-based and pragmatic treatment of substance use disorders and pain in the emergency department; and most importantly, all things medical education.
