Biography

Dr. Michaël Séguin is an Assistant Professor in the School of Leadership, Ecology, and Equity at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. Trained as an ethnic relations sociologist, he specializes in partnership research and the development of policies and practices to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizations (including settlement agencies and institutions of higher learning). Since his doctoral studies on the cognitive dimension of Israeli colonialism and the representation of Palestinians it engenders, he has explored ways of transforming the worldview of members of dominant groups into allies striving for greater social justice. His teaching and research have led him to explore power dynamics in organizations, ways of raising awareness of differences, and inclusive leadership.
