Michelle Anawati

Biography

Dr. Anawati is a francophone community family physician with active privileges at Montfort Hospital. She graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Gold Medal Medical Program in 2010 and continued her studies in Family Medicine by completing her residency at Montfort Hospital in 2012. She is currently the Director of the Francophone Clerkship Program, a member of Francophone Affairs and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. Her community practice is broad-based with a particular interest in the determinants of health that stem from her experience as a social worker. A recipient of the Faculty of Medicine Collaborator Award in 2017, Dr. Anawati enjoys collaborating with students and preceptors in the francophone community to highlight the important role they play in patient care and in advancing medical education. She is also interested in collaborative clinic development as well as community inter-professionalism on chronic diseases.
