Biography
Enrolled in the Canadian Forces as a pilot in 1989, Dr. Stéphane Roux obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Laval University in 1992 and his helicopter pilot’s license in 1994. In 2000, he reoriented his career and obtained his license to practice family medicine in 2006 from Laval University. During his military career, he held positions such as Regional Surgeon for the National Capital and Europe, Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Health Services Centre in Ottawa, and Chief Medical Officer for the Royal Canadian Air Force. He joined the Montfort Hospital team as a family physician and Chief of Staff in January 2020.
